Veterinary Industry Updates
In Ontario, the average clinic revenue has had an increase over the past twelve months of 1.4% for companion animal clinics and 1.2% for mixed and large animal clinics. Inflation for the past twelve months has been over 2%, meaning that the average revenue growth is not keeping pace with inflation. It’s important to review your clinic’s pricing and ensure pricing at your clinic is keeping up with inflation. Annual price increases are recommended, and January 1st is a common time to have inflationary price increases.
With the recent ability for pet owners to purchase pharmaceutical drugs at pharmacies, it’s important to review your clinic’s pricing for pharmaceuticals and professional services. Reach out to your W&U advisor if you would like to discuss the potential impacts to your clinic.
