Michael obtained his Business Administration – Accounting diploma from Conestoga College in 2004 and joined Ward & Uptigrove that fall as an Accountant in the Agriculture Department.
Michael was raised on a farm near Moorefield and currently resides on a farm near Belgrave with his family. He is a member of the Listowel Kinsmen club and helps organize the local Paddyfest.
