Millwright Crew Lead

Horst Systems is hiring a Millwright Crew Leader in Winchester to oversee and work alongside our construction crews building grain handling systems across the province. If you’re mechanically inclined, have leadership experience on job sites, and take pride in quality workmanship, we want to hear from you.
This is more than just a job—it’s a hands-on leadership position where you’ll be involved in equipment installation, mechanical assembly, and millwright-style work. You’ll guide a crew, solve problems on the ground, and ensure projects are delivered safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities (What You Will Do)
- Assemble and install grain handling systems (concrete, millwrighting, equipment work). Training will be provided.
- Follow direction from the Project Manager
- Travel to job sites across Eastern Ontario (occasional overnight stays as needed with travel and meal expenses paid)
- Work safely at heights of 50 Meters (fall protection training provided)
- Use tools and machinery (forklifts, telehandlers, welders—training available)
- Maintain a safe, respectful job site and support your crew
- Participate in training for safe work practices, use of equipment, tools and job techniques
- Operate and oversee the use of tools and machinery, including forklifts, telehandlers, welders, and other specialized equipment (training available)
- Contribute to the team with a positive attitude and continue to develop a great working culture, with an emphasis on health and safety

- Have experience in construction, farming, landscaping, or mechanical repairs

Bonus Points If You:
- Have experience working in agriculture, farming or similar industry
- Have completed a Millwright 433A (Industrial Stream) or similar pre-apprenticeship program
