Electrical Apprentice (309A)

Classification: Full-time, permanent
Compensation: $21.60/hour to $39/hour (depending on apprenticeship level; overtime after 44 hours/week) + health care spending account + pension plan + eligibility for year-end bonus

Here’s What You’ll Do: As an Electrical Apprentice at Horst Systems, you’ll support agricultural and industrial electrical projects while completing your apprenticeship under the supervision of licensed Electricians and Foremen. You’ll work both in the panel shop and on construction sites, gaining hands-on experience in installations, troubleshooting, and system testing. You’ll contribute to safe, high-quality electrical work while continuing to develop your technical skills and trade knowledge.

Your day to day will look like this:
- Assist with installing conduit, wiring, panels, motors, and electrical components
- Pull wire, terminate connections, and support equipment installations
- Read and follow electrical drawings, layouts, and instructions
- Support troubleshooting and repair of electrical systems
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
- Follow all safety procedures including PPE, lockout/tagout, and job hazard assessments
- Transport tools and materials and assist with site setup and teardown
- Learn from Journeyperson Electricians and Foremen through hands-on training
- Complete required documentation such as time sheets and safety forms
- Some overnight travel is required

Requirements for this position:
- Valid Driver’s License with satisfactory driver’s abstract
