HR Operations Coordinator

Our client, a growing organization in the Waterloo area, is looking for a highly driven and adaptable HR Operations Coordinator. This hands-on, execution heavy role manages daily HR processes with a strong focus on recruitment and reports directly to the senior HR position.

Responsibilities

Keep overall HR and recruitment activity moving seamlessly across the organization.

  • Coordinate full-cycle recruitment activities across multiple positions
  • Draft job ads, manage advertising and resume collection
  • Review applications and move candidates through screening and interview stages
  • Coordinate interviews and maintain communication with candidates and hiring managers
  • Support onboarding and employee lifecycle processes
  • Maintain employee records including training, job descriptions and HR documentation
  • Assist with workforce related initiatives
  • Conduct job analyses for new and existing roles
  • Assist with policy updates, implementation and communication
  • Prepare professional correspondence, reports and HR related documentation
  • Work closely with leadership and operations to ensure HR activity supports business needs
  • Complete administrative and coordination tasks to support overall HR and H&S functions

What You Offer

  • 2–5 years’ experience in HR, recruitment and workforce coordination
  • Formal post-secondary education in Human Resources or a related field
  • Working knowledge of the ESA, OHSA and related employment legislation
  • Experience in manufacturing, construction, and trades considered an asset
  • Comfortable making independent day-to-day decisions within the scope of the role
  • Thrive in a fast-paced and changing environment
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize effectively, know when to pivot and change direction
  • Communicate clearly, professionally and efficiently
  • Take initiative and ownership of work
  • Enjoy recruitment, candidate interaction and hands-on operational and administrative work
