Colton graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University in 2017 with an Honours degree in Business Administration and a Graduate Diploma in Accounting. After graduation, he worked at a national accounting firm in the Waterloo region. Colton earned his CPA designation in 2020 and has also complete the CICA In-Depth Tax Course and Owner-Manager Tax Course. 

Colton joined Ward & Uptigrove’s Tax department as a Principal in 2025. He provides a wide range of services to our clients, including corporate, trust, and personal tax compliance reviews, reorganization of corporate structures, estate and succession planning along with other related tax services.

Colton and his family live in Elmira. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, and playing hockey and golf.
